The short version: this site is free, there are no ad trackers, and we only hold an email address if you typed one in yourself. We do not sell data — not to advertisers, not to anyone. You can ask us to delete everything with one email.
1.What we collect
Email address — only when you submit the "Get Pro" waitlist form, or leave a comment and choose to include one. Optional in both cases.
Your message — whatever you type in the feedback box, plus which course you were looking at at the time.
Anonymous visit count — when a page loads we record the path, the referring site, and a random ID stored in your browser. No name, no IP-based profile, no cross-site identifier.
Learning position — which phrase you reached is saved in your own browser. It never leaves your device.
Text you type into the AI box — sent to our server to produce the translation, and the Chinese text is sent to a speech service to generate audio (see section 4).
2.What we do not collect
No account and no password — there is nothing to sign up for
No payment details — the site is free during beta
No advertising or tracking cookies of any kind
No phone number, address, or date of birth
Nothing sold, rented, or handed to marketers
3.Why we keep it
Email — to tell you when Pro launches. That is the only use, and it is the only email you will get.
Message — to fix what is broken and to decide which course to build next.
Visit count — to know whether anyone is actually using the site. An empty site is a site that needs to change.
4.Who else is involved
Running a site means using infrastructure. These are the only services that can see anything:
Cloudflare — hosting, content delivery, and security. Keeps standard request logs.
Tencent Cloud — the server that generates speech audio and stores form submissions.
Microsoft Edge TTS — receives the Chinese text you ask us to speak aloud, and returns an audio file. It receives text only — never your email or any identity.
jsDelivr — a public CDN that serves one JavaScript library.
Google Search Console — shows us aggregate search traffic. No individual user data.
Each provider handles that data under its own privacy policy, which we do not control. We do not add analytics scripts, pixels, or heatmaps on top.
5.Your choices
Remove your email — reply to any email you got from us, or write to the address at the bottom. We delete it, no questions.
Delete everything — same address. We will remove any email and message tied to you.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA) — we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. You have the right to know what we hold, to have it deleted, and to have it corrected. Write to us and we will action it.
EU and UK (GDPR) — our basis for holding your email is consent: you typed it in. Withdraw it any time and we drop it.
6.Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has submitted an email, write to us and we will delete it.
7.How long we keep things
Waitlist emails — until Pro launches, or until you ask to be removed. Whichever comes first.
Feedback messages — up to 24 months.
Anonymous visit records — 12 months.
8.Security
All traffic is encrypted over HTTPS. Form submissions land in a database with row-level security: the public key embedded in the page is permitted to insert a row and nothing else — it cannot read the table back. There is no admin login exposed on this site.
9.Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. There is no mailing list about policy updates; the current version is always the one you are reading.
10.Contact
Questions, deletion requests, or a correction — one address, a real person reads it:
